# Jobs list

Any job that is currently in the [Tracking System](/tracking.md) will appear in one of the lists on the Jobs page. Access to this page is dependent on your [access level](/getting-started/user-access-levels.md).

You can click on any job in these lists to view its [details](/eboard/calendar/job-details.md), equipment, tasks, uninvoiced charges and any notes added by staff members to the job.

You can also add a [dry hire](/tracking/dry-hire.md) job to the [Tracking System](/tracking.md) by clicking on "Jobs Add Dry Hire" at the top right of the page. See [Dry Hire](/tracking/dry-hire.md) for more information on these types of jobs.

## Job categories

Jobs are categorised by their type:

* [**Dry hire**](/tracking/dry-hire.md) - jobs that are for equipment hire and any related drop-off/pick-up tasks only. These jobs can only be added and edited in the [Tracking System](/tracking.md).
* [**eBoard**](/eboard.md) - full TTM jobs that have been created through [eBoard](/eboard.md).**(1)**
* [**TMP only**](/eboard/dashboard/tmp-only.md) - jobs that have been created through [eBoard](/eboard.md) with a type of '[TMP only](/eboard/dashboard/tmp-only.md)'. These will appear in the [Tracking System](/tracking.md) only if the job is added to the [Tracking System](/tracking.md) through [eBoard's](/eboard.md) [Dashboard](/eboard/dashboard.md) area.
* **Ready to invoice** - jobs that have been created through [eBoard](/eboard.md) that have a [status](/eboard/calendar/job-status.md) of "Job Completely Finished (Ready to Invoice)".**(1)**
* **Complete** - jobs for which a final invoice has been created in the [Tracking System](/tracking.md).
* **Cancelled** - jobs in the [Tracking System](/tracking.md) which have been cancelled. See [Job details](/eboard/calendar/job-details.md) for more information.

You can use the search box "Jobs Search" at the top of the page to find jobs in these lists.

**(1)** These will appear in the [Tracking System](/tracking.md) when the first task for this job is initiated from [eBoard](/eboard.md), or if the job is added to the [Tracking System](/tracking.md) through [eBoard's](/eboard.md) [Dashboard](/eboard/dashboard.md) area.

## Job information and search

Each job entry on the lists shows a subset of details:

* **#** - the job number/ID. If the job is an [eBoard](/eboard.md) job, this will be the same number across the systems.
* **Client** - the client's name and the description of work activity.
* **P/O** - the job's purchase order number (if available).
* **Address** - the job's location and your reference number (if available).
* **eBoard** - a tick "EBoard Tick" will show if this job is an [eBoard](/eboard.md) job.
* **Start** - the start date of the job. This is the date the job has been created in the [Tracking System](/tracking.md), either through eBoard or by adding a [dry hire](/tracking/dry-hire.md) job.
* **End** - the end date of the job. Jobs will show as 'Ongoing', unless an end date has been supplied in the job's [details](/eboard/calendar/job-details.md) or it has been completed/cancelled.
* **Status** - the job's [Tracking System](/tracking.md) status.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.roaddirect.co.nz/tracking/jobs-list.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
